When we compare an OGINATEC - MF System - ceramic membrane system to conventional sand filter or other type of filtration the advantages are huge.

"A ceramic membrane system will last at least 5- 7 years if treated properly.
A ceramic membrane systems will remove all organic matter and does not need frequent backwash to clean the membranes.
It has an absolute pore size to prevent the passage of any organic matter and it complies with FDA regulations of 0.2 microns for bacteria removal.
It needs only regular maintenance during the life of the systems. It removes organics, which we can categorize some of them to be very small organics and cancerogenous such  as benzene, xylene, toluene and others. 
It will always produce the same quality of permeate water, regardless of the quality of the feed water. It can handle upset in the feed water which the conventional systems cannot handle.
It will extend the life of the Reverse Osmosis membranes by far, this because the RO membranes will not get foul by organics, which is one of the biggest problems with RO membranes. Since there is no chemical addition for the treatment, we do not modify the chemical composition of the water. 
The reject of the systems is basically the same sea water with a higher load of organics as we received. It can be dispose in the sewer system if necessary.
The system is a state of the art system that can monitor several parameters as the water is treated".
